BiNGS will provide and participate in organized activities including seminars, workshops and mini-courses (given by Core personnel or speakers from other NYC institutions), as well as one-on-one consultation to train and educate TCC investigators and their lab members in bioinformatic analysis. We are also available for one-on-one meetings with investigators and trainees upon request. Finally, we would be happy to join your lab meetings and relevant research talks in order to learn about your project(s), which will facilitate our ability to analyze your data.

For high school students aged 16-18 the TCC Summer Program Advancing Research Knowledge, Education and Development (SPARKED), offers summer internships in Mount Sinai Tisch Cancer Center experimental biology labs (wet lab), or in data science labs (dry lab). 

BiNGS community annual 10-week Bulk RNA-seq analysis course. This course is designed to provide an end-to-end, practical introduction to bulk RNA-seq analysis, taking participants from unaligned sequencing files through gene expression results and biological interpretation. 

BSR2402 - Yearly Graduate School of Biological Science course in Genomics. We participate with lectures on hands on workshops on transcriptomics and epigenomics

Open Office Hour

One on One meetings to discuss NGS study design, experimental execution, and data analysis. We are open to scheduling training sessions on analyzing NGS data. Please email us to schedule.

In collaboration with Dr. Emma Benn; The CREiGS Short Course, we offer an innovative, hybrid educational program for medical/doctoral students, residents, postdoctoral scholars, and faculty engaged in clinical and translational research with limited background in the analysis of genetics/genomics data.
